@KonixSlipstream@iFixRetro LCD mods are definitely something I will be visiting. Hell, I even have a couple of LCD panels which will make a perfect Atari Stacy upgrade (colour Stacy!) sitting in my stock pile ready for development!
While I'm in Atari 7800 land, do people also want an RGB mod board? I've looked, and it's certainly possible, although not simple. It would require a 2 chip re-socket with mod boards beneath to fit.
Metrocross! I loved that gamers the ST, it ran pretty much entirely at 50hz with nice scrolling. Oddly, I loved it so much, I have the arcade PCB somewhere too...
@reidrac Not sure what compiler / language you are using, but I ran into memory issues on a 68000 based project recently and enabled function level linking (rather than object) and saved a few kb. If you're 100% assembler, this is not so useful for you...
Heads up to all Snes2Jag customers. @clackattack01 has reported that the HDMI Snes Pound cable works with the @atari#jaguar when using my Snes2jag adapter. Here are some media shots showing the Jag using an HDMI input on a Samsung 8500. #retrogaming#retrogamer#gaemrsunite
@JudgeDrokk Piracy and the games industry are as inseparable and Ant and Dec. Oddly though, a lot of hackers went on to become game developers. Although less likely the designers of things like the console cartridge emulators... Very cool bits of history.
We're down to the last 100 copies of our Limited Edition release of @Cinemaware's Defender of the Crown for the #AtariJaguar! You can find this and other great Jaguar games in the AtariAge Store:
@appleinsider Get a life, stop using your phone so much, and take in the real world? A slow phone works a treat in this instance, and saves you a grand. Think how much real stuff you could do for a grand?
@Karol09631170@AshEvans81 I'm starting to up production of the NGP cart now (with some external help!) so I should be getting through the pre-orders a lot quicker now. The plan is production and sales of carts should be reasonably constant -- there are 45 ready to go out currently I believe.
I just took apart my NGPC slim -- lovely bit of engineering! There's plenty of room in there for the Sony backlit screen, the module is a bit smaller than the NGPC standard. The screen area is about 4mm smaller h&v. Labelled test points on the PCB for the LCD signals too!
Nice week away, and back at the workshop.. Here's the latest piece I've just finished - The 'Elliot Bridge Clock' made from a 1940's bit of test equipment.
Been working on a new menu loader for the @TheRetroHQ#AtariLynx SD Cartridge. Nothing too revolutionary yet but I’m getting the basics working #RetroGaming#RetroConsoles#WPUGamers
Cinemaware's classic "Defender of the Crown" brought to the Atari Jaguar fully licensed. Limited Edition copies still available in the AtariAge store. Grab them while you can!
Retro game streaming with modern features like leaderboards and challenges. I prefer my retro to be tangible and in my hands, but for the more casual retro gamer, this looks like a nice service. Nice job @stevecottam & Crew.
Meet The AntTeam! These are the guys (and girl) behind the Netflix of retro gaming! Take a look behind the scenes of Antstream as we prepare to reload retro! #RetroGaming
This time it's Priel from @SacredStarTeam also appearing in #CrossCode. I'm thinking of showcasing even more of all the portraits etc I made around the launch last year. #pixelart#gamedev#indiedev
This game looks great, and I can't fault the attention to detail with an additional micro on the PCB just to provide better quality audio! Fantastic stuff for a greatly underrated console.
