7800 Game Drive

Updating Your Cartridge

Good news! There is a firmware update available, and it's easy to install.

Click on the download button below to download the latest version of the firmware for the 7800 Game Drive.

Once downloaded, copy the firmware.upd file onto the root directory of a memory card. This means the file cannot be inside any other directory.

Now you have the firmware update on the memory card, insert the memory card into the 7800 Game Drive memory card slot with the cartridge in the console and turn the console on.

The cartridge will recognise the update is there and will update the cartridge to the latest firmware and continue to boot directly into the game menu.
